Snaffle Bit with 12,7 cm (5") mouthpiece with Copper Inlay, 8 cm (2-3/4") Rings.
Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the colour of the bit to a brownish-grey.
A beginning of this oxidation process may already be visible when purchasing a new bit.
Weaver worked closely with custom bit maker, hardware designer and saddlemaker Jeremiah Watt to develop Sagebrush Series Bits that are like none you've ever seen.
