Joker the horse simulator was developed to improve the rider’s balance, timing, coördination and self-awareness -and with this also the general well-being of the horse.

Joker’s great value is that it brings the rider back to the basics of awareness and feeling.

Made from a unique construction of springs, Joker the horse simulator can let the rider experience walk, trot and canter… As long as the rider makes the right movements…

If the movements don’t feel like a real horse, then the riders not moving in a way it doesn’t disturb the horse! The result is that the horse runs a considerable risk of injuries…

A rider can not just “sit still” in order to “sit still” on a moving horse,

It takes a lot more than that, and every rider owes it to the horse to train themselves that they don’t disturb the horse in any way…

Trainers often shout “sit up straight”, “relax”, “keep your hands still”, but how do you do that? An incorrect posture and action of the rider unbalances the horse, preventing it from moving freely. The horse then starts to compensate in its posture with all its consequences. Thanks to BlackJack you get valuable information about the effect of your aids. During a riding lesson you can focus on your own body and learn at your own pace. With our guidance you can say goodbye to bad habits and, if necessary, regain your confidence and balance by learning to control your body and breathing. BlackJack teaches you to feel how to use the right muscles and make the correct movement. You train your muscle memory so you can quickly apply this to your own horse.

Our standard lessons last half an hour and are usually given on Sunday afternoon in our store in Moordrecht (Ambachtweg 39, 2841 MB). The lessons are given by Miranda van de Schuur from Paardenplezier.

Occasionally we also give special clinics, keep an eye on our social media.

It is best to practice on your own saddle, you don't have to bring your cinch. Be sure to wear your normal riding clothes and boots. The maximum rider weight BlackJack can handle is 90kg.

Blackjack is located in an enclosed area of the store allowing you to train at your leisure and without prying eyes.
