“The Double Cross™ is an excellent transition bit. Really helps to prepare a colt to pack a bridle. Very soft yet makes a colt carry their noses up and down instead of pushing out. Really great for the colts that wants to reach for the bridle a lot.

This beautifully crafted Advantage bit features Short heavier© 3/8" shank material. The added weight provides a quicker action and release. The mouthpiece is our Double Cross© measuring 13 cm wide. This shank measures 7".

Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the colour of the bit to a brownish-grey.

A beginning of this desired oxidation process may already be visible when purchasing a new bit.
